Apimac Slideshow has been part of our story for many years. People have used it to bring photos, videos, and music together into slideshows they can share, and presentations they can show to clients, colleagues, and audiences. We have now written the app again from the beginning, so it can take advantage of the current versions of macOS.
A Familiar Wish, on a Current Mac
The wish is the same as it has always been. You have photos, some video, and music, and you want them to play as one piece, without sitting down to learn a traditional video editor. Apimac Slideshow is built for that. The latest version is a completely new app, written for the Mac as it is today, and it keeps the work inside a short path from the files to the finished presentation.
Four Steps
Creating a slideshow follows four steps: Choose Files, Customize Slideshow, Choose Background, and Share. Photos and videos can be added one by one, or a whole folder can be dropped in, and the order can be arranged to suit the story. Playback can run on its own, or you can move through the slides yourself. Slide duration, looping, and shuffle are there when you want them, along with notes and captions that can show the file name, your own words, or both.
A Look of Its Own
Backgrounds can be a color, a gradient, a photographic collection, or an image of your own. More than one soundtrack can sit under the same slideshow. Transitions include Fade, Ken Burns, Wipe, Page Curl, and others, and a live preview shows the result while you work. Image fitting, picture frames, and the audio of each video can be set on their own. For presentations in front of an audience, Slideshow also includes presenter tools and support for multiple displays. You can even add end credits with text and images.
A Project You Can Take With You
A slideshow is saved as a project that carries the photos, videos, and audio it uses. That project can move to another Mac, or stay as a complete copy for later. The media can also be exported to a folder whenever you want the files on their own.
