Troubleshooting

I try to open the application and the menu bar shows the application for a moment and then goes back to the Finder.
Due to a known bug the Notepad application version 8 or previous can not be located in a folder whose path contains unicode characters. We’re fixed this in the current verion, if you are using a older version just move the Notepad application in the Applications folder (or anywhere else, provided the path to it doesn’t contain unicode characters such as accented characters or symbols) and it should open flawlessly. Then it should launch with no problem.

  • Regular Expression is an advanced search method based on patterns, for example “nice|girl” will match either “nice try” and “pretty girl“. More info on it can be found on many websites such as the dedicated page of the Wikipedia.
